叶尔波利，全名叶尔波利.阿合买提汗 ，来自新疆的哈萨克人，1981年出生于阿尔泰。他5岁开始学习传统民族乐器冬不拉，17岁时成为新疆伊犁州歌舞团专业冬不拉乐手；十九岁时开始有意识地进行音乐创作。
Yie Er Bo Li, ethnically Kazakh, was originally from Xinjiang, China.He was born in 1981 at the city of Altai.He started studying the Dombra, a traditional Kazakh instrument, at the age of 5. When he was 17, he joined the Xinjiang Ili Song and Dance Troupe as a professional Dombra player. He started writing his
own compositions at the young age of 19.
2006年，叶尔波利重组了自己的乐队，成员包括打击乐手小宇、贝司手廖凯以及鼓手文烽。乐队创作了一些自己的作品，并重新改编了大量哈萨克族民歌；现已出版第一张世界融合乐(WORLD FUSION)专辑《哈萨克精神Kazakh Spirit》。
In 2006, Ye Er Bo Li formed his own band, members included percussionist Xiao Yu, bassist Liao Kai, and drummer Wen Feng. The band composed several original compositions, as well as rearranging and reinterpreting many traditional Kazakh folk songs. The band has just released their first album "Kazakh Spirit" earlier this year, categorized under World Fusion.
同时叶尔波利还在自由即兴，先锋实验等领域有着良好的成绩，跟国内外众多音乐家有过精彩合作。他和乐队参加过"重返大地----２００６中国民谣音乐节"，"2006连州国际摄影节"，"北欧音节"（2006,2007两届，星海音乐厅），2008年德国文化年音乐节，2008年受邀参加台湾流浪之歌音乐节，2009年台湾碧潭音乐节，2009年挪威Riddu Riddu音乐节，2010年马来西亚热带雨林音乐节。
Ye Er Bo Li has also ventured out into the world of improvised experimental music. So far, he has performed and collaborated with a cast of international artists, and local artists as well. 叶尔波利尽管思念草原，却只能在城市里游牧放歌----他的歌声里充满乡愁，充满了对于现代化生活的焦虑和思索。在过去和未来，传统与现代的交汇中，寻找着自己独特的音乐方向。
Even though Ye Er Bo Li constantly craves the vast grass fields of home, but right now, he can only sing his nomadic songs in the boundaries of a city. His music is full of longing for his birth place, and his anxiety and contemplations toward the modern life. He
is searching for his own unique musical direction at this junction of past and future, tradition and modern.
哈萨克有一句古老的谚语："歌和马是哈萨克的两支翅膀。"叶尔波利希望能够通过手中的冬不拉（Dombra）和他苍凉的歌声，把哈萨克文化传播到世界每一个角落。
There is an old saying in Kazakh, "songs and horses are the two wings of Kazakh." Ye Er Bo Li hope to use the Dombra in hand and his melancholy melodies to spread Kazahk culture to every corner of the world.
