The German（德国） name Thaler came from the Bohemian coin minted from the silver from a rich mine at Joachimsthal — Jáchymov (St. Joachim's Valley) in Bohemia north of Karlovy Vary (Karlsbad). Not long after issuance, these coins gained the name Joachimsthalers. |
